In the heart of Adelaide, a family-run business has been making waves in the turf maintenance industry. Turf Equipment SA, led by Managing Director Jordan Ormsby, has grown from a local supplier of golf carts to a key provider of turf maintenance machinerywith Redexim playing a pivotal role in that expansion.
Their journey is a testament to their commitment to quality and performancea shared vision that has taken them from local grounds to major stages, and even onto the racetrack.
From Local Fields to Iconic Stages
Turf Equipment SA serves a diverse range of clients, from local sports fields to prestigious venues like Adelaide Oval. For Jordan Ormsby, seeing Redexim machines at work at such iconic locations is a source of pride. This local presence, coupled with a service-first mindsetis what sets them apart.
Dean Scullion, Territory Manager for Redexim, shares his insights on the partnership: “I’ve known Jordan and the team for seven years. As a true family business, they have deep roots in the Adelaide market with relationships in golf, local government, turf contracting, and motor racing. They are incredibly hospitable people who take immense pride in their work.”
Scullion highlights their exceptional service, noting an instance where they repaired a draw rod on the spot for a council. Despite operating in a smaller market, Turf Equipment SA punches above its weightis proactive with training, and is easy to work with.
A Shared Commitment to Sport
The partnership between Turf Equipment SA and Redexim spans eight years, built on confidence in the equipment and a shared approach to quality and performance. This long-term commitment was underscored when Jordan traveled from Australia to the Netherlands to attend Redexim’s 45th Anniversary event.
The trust built through this relationship later led Jordan Ormsby to approach Redexim about sponsoring his team’s entry into the Bathurst 6 Hour, one of Australia’s most demanding endurance races. Reflecting on this, Jordan said: “I’m a huge believer in the Redexim brand. There’s no other turf renovation equipment at the same level, and that confidence made them the right partner to take into something as visible and demanding as endurance racing.”
The Bathurst sponsorship marked a milestone, representing Redexim’s first involvement in a major, nationally recognized motorsport event.
Endurance Racing at Its Toughest
Competing in the A1 class, Ormsby and his team took on more than 100 laps of relentless racing at Mount Panorama. They battled through dense traffic, repeated safety car periods, and on-track contact that saw the car hit and damaged mid-race. Extreme heat and sustained concentration added to the physical toll, pushing both drivers and machinery to their limits.
For Redexim, the partnership reflected a commitment to meaningful dealer support aligned with sport and performance. For Turf Equipment SA, it further strengthened a trusted relationship built on shared ambition, highlighting what can be achieved through a shared drive to perform.
Building for the Long Term
Looking ahead, the Bathurst 6 Hour is not an endpoint but an example of what’s possible when Redexim and Turf Equipment SA work closely together. They continue to explore new ways to collaborate, support sport, and build long-term value beyond the track.
As Jordan concluded: “For us, it’s always about building partnerships that last and creating value on both sides.”
