Mushrooms

Pineapple Leaves
Leftover pineapple leaves after harvesting fruit can be processed into a durable material suitable for shoes, handbags, and clothing. This innovative use of agricultural waste reduces environmental impact.
Bacteria
Researchers are developing textile fibers produced by bacteria fed with agricultural waste. These biodegradable materials could reduce reliance on conventional textiles and offer a sustainable alternative.
Compost
Scientists are working on silk-like materials created from compostable sources rather than traditional synthetic inputs. This approach aims to reduce the environmental impact of textile production.
Colored Cotton
Instead of dyeing fabric after harvesting, researchers are exploring cotton varieties that naturally grow in different colors. This technology aims to reduce the environmental impact associated with traditional textile dyeing while improving crop resilience.
